How much $$$$ would offer

I found a 96 PSD SC XL 3XX.XXX miles been parked for 3 years he say it runs the bed all rusted tires or shot inside the truck is not great at all motor is covered in crud but it does have a 5speed witch is what i want out of the truck he told to make an offer it was a work truck all it's life how much would offer

transmissions in your area on car-part. com are $800 to $1350 I wouldn't pay more than that for the truck! that zf 5 will probably need rebuilt and most of the synchronizers are probably worn out in it

Go turn the key on it. I'm sure it won't start from dead batteries at least. When you say work truck, do you mean fleet truck with several different drivers? If so, then the above warning about worn tranny internals is valid.

If it was a one driver who took care of it truck, the tranny and motor may be fine. My ZF-6 is still going strong at 340k with no issues other than the shift **** coming off, but I finally went aftermarket on that.

He hasn't touched it in 3 years. I'm thinking pull out $200 - $250 cash and ask if he'll take it.

It was a one maybe two driver truck was for a mom an pop plumming com. i'm going to say he drove it to were it sit's cause it has a inclosed trailer still hooked to it the batteries are shot i can't even jump it off i hooked the jumper cables direct to the starter to get it to spin so i could make sure it wasn't locked up

This just got a little better my little brother is friends with this guy's son. he's trying to talk him into just giving it to me sence it's just sitting and rotting away i hope he can do it
