pcm # help

am trying to locate the pcm# on my Ex and got a question. I have tried looking at the instructions on their website and from what i can tell it dont look like what i got> I removed the kick panel and there is a black box hold ing what looks like the pcm. I took off the 10mm nut and went under the hood. from what i see the other side of that (under hood) looks like there are three harnesses hooked to that with 2 nuts. Is that what I take off to check the code? Sorry if this sounds like I'm an idiot but I am only being myself

Sorry I do not have a pick but see if this helps.
It is located back under the ebrake pedal. There will be two 1/4'' screws that hold a black cover on.Take those out.Go under the hood and on the drivers firewall there will be a 10mm(i think) bolt right in the middle of a wiring harness.Loosen that bolt all the way(it may not fall out though).Go back into the cab and pull out the PCM.You will see the numbers then.

The bolt stays on the connection. lol Once it's loose, pull on the connection and it will come off.

Don't forget to put your keys in your pocket or some safe place (not the ignition) before pulling the PCM

I am out here now trying to pull it out. I think I got the bolt loose enough! I guess i am scared i am gonna break something. When u said down and in does that mean the pcm (inside) or the plug (under hood)
