Just so no one goes to the dealer and makes a fool out of himself, you do realize that theres a VIN list for vehicles getting the flash?

There is a list as explained above - However your VIN can be manually added to OASIS - and flashed. This is how mine was done last Friday.

Thats good to know. Has anyone explained to you what allows a VIN to get on this list if you have a moment to explain to us?
I had guessed any vehicle built pre August 26 (or some date close to that) would have the Feb. factory flash version and that VIN would be on the list vs a truck built a week ago would not be on the list.

My dealer is currently testing this flash on stock trucks before they'll update customer trucks so I guess we'll see if I get it later next week. I've got a work order explaining the strange tranny behavior so I sure hope I can get this update for the simple fact that I want a transmission that shifts normally at 5,000 miles.

So... My truck was built 7/30 and I took delivery on 9/4. Am I going to have problems getting the flash?

You won't have any problems getting the flash. Some SA's are not aware of it but if you just kindly let them know it is there they will run the oasis and say yup.

could you (or someone else) elaborate, please? I thought all super duty trucks were built at the Kentucky plant.

If a dealer service department does not know about this upgrade at this point in time, they have been living under a rock. It has been talked about everywhere. I would be asking these dealers if they really have a service department.

There will also be an information sheet in the glove box after the update was completed.

Called my dealer on wedsday to confirm my Thursday 11 am appointment. I asked to make sure they had the program in there computer. This will be there first flash. He said all he had was the 68.08 and not the 69. Said if I wanted to come in for the 68 then come back when they get the 69. Or wait for them both to be done together. I Said I'll be in at 10:45. (with bells on). Can't wait.
