Extra capacity gas tank

Has anyone used discountfueltanks 38 gallon tank. If not, what do you use for extra capacity fuel tank replacement? I have a 73 F100 with the rear tank only and want more range.

Thanks,

Doug

I have seen some of you using 38 Gallon tanks, but I haven't seen anyone say where they came from. The price is right from these guys, but I don't know about the quality.

Anyone?

Doug

Thanks, I had looked at that thread. I missed that it came from an E series van. I have a side mount tank, but hate to hack up my bed for another filler cap.

I have one in my supercab, good quality, good fit, no problems, almost seems like I get good mileage now.

Check my gallery. The tanks are made by Spectra in Montreal, excellent quality you just have to play with the sending unit a bit.....

I'm having difficulty getting the extension tube to solder well to the original pickup tube. It has come loose on me twice while driving. Do you have any suggestions? Get better at soldering maybe?
