I got the reese adapter and scraped the sticker off, slip right in. Like said before, the hitches are bigger because whoever ordered them (dealer for lot, or customer) chose the option for the (I think) 16,000 lb receiver hitch. More weight=stronger receiver.

Still Questions
Dropped mine off for first service at 7500 miles. Service advisor knew about new tune, but said it was not available yet. Hope it is available tomorrow, hate to have to take it back again next week.

Today I tried a reducer from Rural King. I think it was ACME brand. It was too big, didn't fit. Cost $11.

I went to the delaer and picked up the OEM Ford reducer and it fit like a glove $44.

I picked up the adapter sleeve at a local trailer supply store for $15. fits perfect. Parts guy said they were selling lots of them.

Ford and GM have been 2.5in for a while now.. my 08 F350 has the 2.5in hitch.

I just talked to dealer and he has the upgrade flash available, I will have mine done on tuesday.
