Key getting hard to turn

Key getting hard to turn
The ignition switch in my 01 is getting hard to turn. I have to giggle the key for a bit to get it to come out of the lock position. Is the actual key cylinder separate from the ignition switch. If so, is it probably the switch or key cylinder that is hanging up. How tough of a repair is this?
