Ignition Lock Cylinder
I have a 2000 F-150 with a bad ignition lock cylinder. I have to wiggle the key around to get it to turnover. I've seen new lock cylinders online but they have regular keys. My truck has the transponder key. Will these new lock cylinders work with no problem or is there something that needs to be done to switch from a lock cylinder with a transponder key to one without?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the clarification. Is turning off the PATS in the computer a feasible option. The only reason I ask is because I have a new cylider lock with the regular key that I recieved free. I'd hate to by another one if I don't have to.

You would need to check with a dealer to see how much it would cost for them to do it.
Or,
if you have a tuning device that you can download tunes into. You could put the tune in your tuner and do it yourself.
