Whats the price range you want to spend, if you don't mind me asking David????
I would go as high as the lender will let me, but it seems like they won't let me go higher than @ $8k...which ain't gonna get me in a PSD anytime soon....
The worst part about it is that i now am a roof salesperson, i have a folding ladder in the passenger seat of the Aurora, the trunk is full of lawn signs, and behind the drivers seat is just dang full of paperwork...lol...a truck, ANY truck is necessary...maybe i should look for a 1500 Chebbie, or Dodge...you can pick them up pretty cheap, and you get what you pay for...yuck...

8 k should get you in that truck. I bet they only gave 5-6k on the trade in. Hang in there and the deal might come around.
You might go talk to a local Credit Union. You will be able to talk to a person that can understand your situation and might be able to get you a better deal. There are plenty of deals out there on CL. If you have financing set up through the Credit Union, the deal is the same as cash to the seller. Give it a try. The worst that could happen is you might waste a bit of time. If you get something set up, you might be able to find the deal you want at a price you can afford.
not sure if you'd be into going a ways to check one out, but this one looks promising. has 200k miles, but already has a bunch of the mods you were wanting to do. black 2000 4x4 350 powerstroke
You know I'll bet if we all work together we can find David a real decent truck in his price range-they ARE out there!! I'll keep my eyes open here in Florida & may be help transport for him if need be.

Thats the brotherhood at work....
Im looking here in Fl also, but having better luck finding texas trucks.
Here is a few from Dallas craigslist for under $8k
Good find Frank. They both look like pretty good deals. Maybe you should pick up the hand shaker. Part out your other two and should be able to pay it off.

I wouldn't do anything like that. Looking back, I kind of wish I would of got a hand shaker after reading your horror stories. Time to start saving for a BTS or ditch my truck and get a standard.

I have no intersest in a hand shaker. I drove big trucks for years, 10 speeds, had a 5 speed in my daily driver, and my old T/A had a 4 speed. I had to think what vehicle I was in before i put it the wrong gear...
Just save for a good trans. Dont do what I did......please

I wouldn't have a problem with a standard. Drove several for quite a while and the bonus is my wife can't drive a standard.
