ID tag number: C8TF-C = Ford part number: C8TZ9510C .. 1V Carburetor (Motorcraft CA570) / Obsolete
C8OZ9A586D (replaced C5AZ9A586A) .. 1V Carburetor Tune Up Kit (Motorcraft CT207A) / Obsolete
Fits: 1965/69 F100/250 240/300 I-6 // 1965/67 Econoline 240 I-6 // 1965/69 Galaxie/LTD 240 I-6 // 1965/70 Mustang/Falcon/Comet/Fairlane/Torino/Bronco 200 I-6 and etc etc etc.
Auto-Lite & Motorcraft parts/part numbers are the same. In 1972, Ford was forced by the US Gov't to sell Auto-Lite, as the Gov't claimed Ford had a monopoly on autoparts.
After selling Auto-Lite, Ford started in-house brand Motorcraft, transfering all the Auto-Lite parts/part numbers over to Motorcraft.
To simply matters for the partsguy/gal at chain autoparts stores, ask for a carb kit for one of the above Mustangs w/a 200. Same-o same-o as your truck.
The genuine Ford carb kit is obsolete, but still can be found at Ford Dealers, obsolete parts vendors.
