2.5" Hitch
#17
this kinda sucks, there is alot less options for 2.5 hitches, I was planning on buying a B&W ball mount, I don't see the multi ball mount hitches available in 2.5. I don't see the need to go to a 2.5" hitch, I have a heavy duty ball mount that has a shank made of solid steel it must weigh 20 #'s but if exceeding the weight limits is a problem the solution is a heavier duty ball mount and they are available in 2" no need to go 2.5"

Coming from a guy who pulls a skidloader, mini excavator and dump trailers with broken concrete or gravel. I often exceed the 6000lb limit of the 2" system. And I don't want to use a WD system when I'm hookin gup and dropping trailers several times each day. So the 2.5" system is exactly what I want from a HD truck.
Now that both Ford and GM are shipping trucks with these class V hitches, You will quickly see manufactures jump on the market and bring new products to market. Just like the 7pin RV plug has almost totally replaced the old 4 pin trailer wiring plugs, The 2.5 will be what most folks default to.
Here is an example of one mfg already shipping the product.
