Dwon Pipe Removal
Hey guys I am laying under my 97 f350 with my iphone trying to remove my down pipe to install a 3" DP this phone doesn't make a good hammer so what am I doing wrong? Am I forgetting to remove something IE the manifold piping or is there a secret lol...

Yep, you will burn up a few bits, but a couple cuts like you see in the pic above and it should come right out from the bottom.
Jim, it wouldn't let me send you a rep. Thanks for posting the pic, it shows where to cut the DP real good. Hope someone reps you for that.

Mine came out easily after making the one cut near the turbo, it just dropped down and I was able to get it out through the bottom. I used a carbide blade that I picked up at Harbor Freight.

Yea well now i am up s#it creek with out a paddle lol, the guy who borrowed my saw didn't bother to tell me he burnt it up and doesn't have the cash to replace the one I had... So now I have a layed out 4" exhaust with no way to get my down pipe out and gotta be at work at 11 pm haha I think I am calling in..... I tried the Jedi Mind Trick to make the pipe fall in two but I guess my Jedi skills are a bit rusty

I'm going to pull the motor when I replace my down pipe so I can remove it in one piece. I just know it will bring some money on Ebay

Ok after many swear words and 3 bits later the dang thing is OUT and in three pieces haha.... Had a bit of trouble getting it down and out but with a some small persuasion (250 pounds of pi$$ed of redneck dangling from a 2 pound pipe) it decided to let go and out she flew directly into my nose haha pay back it a biatch.... Now I am guessing I need to modify the fire wall a bit to get the 3"er in there... There is a lip about half way down looks to be where the firewall meets floor pan I am not sure (black as coal out) if I need to just bend it or trim it with with my newly acquired power tool lmao...
