P244A: Differential Particulate filter differential pressure too low!
P2452: Diesel Particulate Filter Pressure sensor A circuit!
Took my truck off-roading yesterday, nothing too rough. Highest point I reached was probably 11,000 feet. Everything was fine, until this morning when I was headed to work. I noticed the CEL was on... I used my DPF-R to read and clear the codes. After I cleared the CEL, drove the truck around for awhile and no more CEL. Anybody have an idea on why those codes came up?
Truck has the DPF/CAT delete and I am using the DPF-R programmer!!!
So I am reading the DPF-R manual again, and it state's to place all sensors back into the exhaust "Except" the pressure sensor? So I got underneath my truck and the pressure sensor is installed in the DPF/CAT delete pipe because there was a bung for it. Was I supposed to leave it hanging out and put a plug in the pressure sensor bung? I have had the DPF-R installed for almost 4 months and this is the first time I have had a CEL...
I just recenlty purchased an 08' F250 from my buddy and he had the DPF-R 4.0 on the truck. He took it with him to use on his new 2010. I've been saving up to get one to use on my truck and when I saw this post it made me wonder if I was going the right route with the DPF-R. I spoke with my buddy and he said he encountered those same codes with his unit. When he called DPF-R's tech line they told him he had an eariler firmware and the it was a know issue. They paid the shipping cost to have it sent back and updated the unit. He says its worked great ever since. Runs great on his 2010 even. I'm pretty new to the diesel truck world so I hope this helps.

I have a 2010 and with the exception of this one CEL instance, I love the DPF-R. I have already contacted the Tech people and they are looking into it. They got back to me in a very timely manner, which I like. Like I said, I cleared the code, and nothing has come back. If I were you I would upgrade to the DPF-R 4.0 Economy. Should give you about 4 mpg's, for just a little more then the regular DPF-R 4.0.
So your buddy put back the DPF on your truck and put it back to stock using his DPF-R? Have you had any Regen problems since your truck is back to stock?

Yes when he put the 08' back to stock in unlocked the DPF-R unit and he was able it install it on his new truck. unfortunately I had to put the filter back on my 08' for now so it runs like they do with the filter on .... .
Thanks for the info on the Economy version. I will defiantly give that a look when I get ready to buy one.

You were spot on... I just got heard back from the tech's and they are going to update it for me and even pay for shipping. So I said the hell with it, and asked them to update it to the DPF-R Economy tune. So for an extra $129 bucks, the tech said that I should gain 5 mpg, maybe even more depending on how the truck is driven... I will keep you updated, and tell you how the new tune is working.. I should have it sometime next week...
