I use my phone. It doesn't do real justice to the sound, but gives a general idea. I think many digital cameras can do video- not sure about accompanying sound, though. I doubt any medium will give authentic representation of the sound. As far as a tripod, no. Either use a buddy to hold it or set it on the ground behind the truck. I suppose you counld set it on a box or something, so I guess it might be considered a homemade tripod... sort of.
Use a cell phone? You mean one that can take video / audio clips I guess.
I have a video camera that does stills to a sd card and video to a mini cassette. I'll have to look at converting the mini cassette to digital I guess?
I was looking for some info I had posted and then got to thinking about clips and posted the question there before I realize I should have started a new thread.
