trans help
I have a 99 E250 van, with a 5.4 triton and a 4R70W trans. the other day i was backing up and it felt like i hit someting. ON down the road, my trans shifted from od to 3rd and back. then i was stopped, and took back off and it sounded like it was in 2 gears at once. then it killed the engine. So i got a tow home. The the TC light was flashing so i checked for a code. I got a P1747, Pres Ctrl Sol. A Circuit Shorted. there are no visable shorts on external wires. But there is trans fluid in the connector at trans. could that be the short? Or should i check the wires inside and sol.?
