were is the DPFE

Hi, new to the site, and I have read several of the threads about the DPFE. I have a 2001 F150 4x4 with the 4.6 engine and 77k miles. I have a service eng soon code of 401 and 402. One fix on this site is to replace the DPFE, but I can't find it. My EGR valve has one vac line (green) that goes to the SOL V. and from the SOL V is a (red) vac line that goes to the intake. The SOL V also has an electrical connection . The hood decal of the vac system calls it SOL V (EGR). I bought a DPFE from Ford and it is like everyone describes it 1 elec connection and 2 vac ports. It looks entirely different from the SOL V that my EGR connects to. Does my truck even have a DPFE or did Ford give me the wrong part? Sorry to be so long winded, but more info is better than not enough. Any suggestions?

thanks
Fordhonda

I found it. It helped finding more info on previous threads that told were it was. (plus a better flashlight to find it) So I guess I answered my own thread.

Are you sure the DPFE is bad? clogged EGR ports in the TB is very common and will throw same code. Cleaning the ports is free so you might want to check that 1st.

He has a P0401 AND a P0402.

A clogged port CANNOT cause cause excessive flow - think about it.

DPFE sensor is the correct diagnosis.

I have seen where these codes are set because one of the vacuum lines is loose or has a break. Sometimes the plastic fittings get brittle because of the heat. Suggest you check them closely.
