1956 Ford truck parts

These two trucks (appear to be F600 from the description) are coming up at an auction this Saturday. Not knowing too much about the 53-56 model years, I'm assuming that the cabs are interchangeable between smaller and larger truck models just like in the 48-52 model years. Also, the hood and grilles are interchangeable, correct? Anything else?

I'm limited in my storage capacity for the time being. If these parts are desireable, then I might consider killing a weekend and my back in getting the parts. The cabs are somewhat in demand, correct?

The only thing different would be the fenders and running boards and I'm sure you'd be able to sell those parts, in fact there was someone looking for a right front fender in a post about a week ago.

If you do get them I could use another set of running boards and maybe fenders depending. And a bumper or two now that I think of it...

From what I've researched the fenders and running boards are the only things different, well the frame too, and the bumper.

If you deiced to part them out, please send me a PM

Greyhound still does that? I used to ship all kind a weird shtuff on them when I was down there. They made my Ex ride up in the seats when I shipped here back to her Mom. No matter how hard I tried to stuff her into the baggage compartment.

If that's the case. I need a decent passenger side fender. But if the price is right I'd be interested in a pair of fenders.

If you get the trucks send me a PM about the fenders.

I looked at my 2nd property this past week and see that the f600 1956 fender is real nice and no rot.....it is driver side though......in N.E.Ohio
The other fender is there but needs some work.

Oh no I was speaking of the lower lenses for the normal turning signals. Thank you though.

Ilya, I don't know a whole lot more about the later trucks than you do, but I do know that the '56's were notorious for having the cab roof rot through above the eyebrow over the windshield. It is apparently pretty difficult to fix. The yellow one has an iffy looking spot in the middle. Check that area over really well before you lay down any green.

The reason I wanted a picture was to see if the one you had was any better then the one I've already got.
