i have a friend who his family owns a grading hauling towing company and they have 45 big rigs 4 are 80 ton wreckers and he said they bought a brand new 6 inch stack for a truck and didint use it and will sell it to me for 75 bucks my question is will a stack make my truck sound more like a deep rumble diesel or gasser 460 sound and how do you guys think a single 6in stack in the middle of the bed would look thnks
im not a big fan of the single stacks...maybe in a dodge bed but thats about it oh yeah itll be deep and rumble trust me i have two 7s and wow you can hear the turbo alot more too!
Thee only problem with that Adam is fitment. It will sound killer. But you will have to buy adaptors hangers elbows all that stuff to do it right. You may be better off with a tried and true kit.
if you put it in the middle its a pain to use your rear view, when i had mine i had it at the pass.side of the bed all i did was take a piece of plate steel cut a hole the same size as the factory pipe in the middle and welded a piece of the factory pipe to the hole and then found a piece of pipe that fit inside the stack and welded that on top to reinforce the stack then slid the stack over it and welded it on.then cut a hole in the bed same size as factory pipe then slid the adapter plate i made through it and bolted it to the bed, then used flex-pipe to connect the exhaust because of all the flex these trucks have.i didnt want to be re-welding exhaust all the time.
