I'm not a fan of stacks, either, and I have a diesel. That being said, what is your determining factor for wanting / needing stacks? What do you mean by, "i was playing in some mudd and water and it filled my exhaust" would be my first question.

Clappers=rain caps. Not a fan of stacks on little trucks either. But yeah, how'd you get crud in your exhaust?

i was playing in a pond driving around water coming in the doors i know not the smartest idea but im driving around and i slid in the deep in and to save my motor i killed the motor before my intake dipped under the water but when i killed it muddy water rushed in my exhaust so i walked home got my tractor and a trailor pulled my truck out pulled the motor and did a good check up but i mud and water in my headers. i dont wanna call it a stack more like a snorkel for the exhaust

I would do dual stacks with 2.5 inch pipes and go with the rain caps they just add to the fun IM putting stacks on my f150 even though it's an inline six but I wanna be different

I don't know. I've got one on my '41 Farmall, but never had one on any big truck. The sawmills I go to all have them on their diesel generators, and I've seen them on a few lake boats. Maybe they just fell out of fashion. I've had a few big trucks with straight cut stacks and no raincap. There may be a drain hole at the bend before they go vertical. All our trucks are either angled outward, or curved.

I would be more concerned with putting a snorkel on the intake. The exhuast being underwater is not a problem so long as its running. Its only if you shut it off or kill it that it can be an issue. Keeping water out of the intake is far more important.
