Well, this is what my ride looked like when I got it last fall
But, it is now 'in progress', a few weeks ago
Two week ago
This week
New wheels and tires I picked up last weekend
I'll be dropping the truck off at the paint shop on Monday as I head for Bristol on Tuesday. Truck is supposed to be ready when I get back from Bristol. This will have to be a 'Cab & Chassis' till spring as I sold the flatbed that was on it and will be building a new bed over the winter.
JOE: I really like the color you sprayed in the cab, is that gonna be the outside color too? MY old "Brontosaurus Burner" had a bed on it that all by itself used up the useful load of the truck. But then - it originally was just used to mount a man lift.
BII: "DAMNLOCALS" - I like it! I like it a lot...
Lotta fine, WHOLE lotta fine, and this is just the beginning.
Neal - it looks like the TENN chapter is alive and bustin' out everwhere. YOU did that, I guess sometimes it takes just that one. Now I know what "DYNO DAZE" are about too. One day the wreck I have out in my drive just might make it onto that trailer and we'll see what we'll see.
Damned good so far, and a hella lot for new members to see too - which is a GREAT thing!

The outside color will be Palisade Green (original color of this truck) and it is quite a bit lighter than the hunter Green inside. Here is a paint chart that show it. http://www.clubfte.com/users/earl/Re...aterial_2.html
I need to wash the rust color from the paint with a Scott pad, surface rust inside the door from the leaky window gasket, no problem, I found where to get them finally.
That older 'Connie of yours still fascinates me - I wish I had been able to keep the '69 I had at one point, but without papers it was worthless.
I should have turned the seller over to the cops.
I wish I could afford to have the windows in the rear sheet metaled in, well the passenger one, I'd like a nice one in the drivers side, I have the dealership receipt and warranty card with other papers. I want some parts to upgrade it, the complete beam ends from 75-84, with steering box, headers, and the uppers to a 5.0 Mustang 302, I want a 4 barrel. It runs great, aside hard starting, the accelerator pump leaks all the fuel out of the bowl when it sets, an electric pump would help, but needs repaired.
OK, while I was in Bristol to work the race week, My trusty 'ol F5 was having a visit with the paint booth for her $399.00 Special. Yes, it is not the best paint job in the world and the body work that we did show some imperfections, but hey, this IS an old farm truck.
Fresh out of the paint booth with the hood laid on top to keep the morning dew off the engine. Wow does it look light in the bright sun. But this is the Original Palisade Green that the truck was in 1950.
Unloaded and back in the yard to start putting things back together.
I like the way the Palisade Green compliments the Hunter Green inside
