Just kidding, hate it for you, that sucks! I am just happy we dont have to deal with those here! We used to have them, but then they stopped. Dont know how long that will last though.

They did the same in Florida, starting inspections in the 60s (70s?) and discontinuing them at least 15 years ago. The only attention that my vehicles ever got from them is to complain about the headlight alignment on my motorcycle ('65 Honda 350). It was factory preset and not adjustable, but every time I went through the inspection one of the state clowns would grab the headlight and try to bend it up!

Glad that they went the way of the dodo here....

Fixed the overhead display by doing the soldering fix and replaced the dash lights that were burned out. About an hours work that has made me love my ex even more since everything is working correctly again.

Got pretty lucky today. Had a little stumble in the V10 and bought just one coil. I slapped it on the passenger side front plug thinking that I would just start there and work my way back till I found the bad one. Well, got it on the first try!

Very good suggestion!

Lisa, Retro-Solutions 55w HID kit for the Ex.

Excellent kit, even better customer service.

Results for 55W DIGITAL HID kits

Eeehh I had digital but they caused so many problems.....I went with JohnnyAirtimes setup. Airtime HID - Home page 55w 4300K for headlights and fogs

X's come with the dual filament bulbs, one for low/one for high...but still just one bulb. The digital ones only have one filament and have a moving mechanism in them to move the bulb slightly upward for when you put on the hi beams. This can cause many issues and have a higher failure rate just do to the extra moving parts. Johnny's setup has dual filament HID bulbs...and he can provide a diode(?) to have the hi/lows simultaniously, allowing all 4 HID's on at once....has been wonders when we go out riding in the dez while trying to find our party.....just an alternative option

you can email him for the info. I wasn't sure if he added anything for cars, but you can also look into my garage for my setup

Guesstimate on price for the HID conversion (just lights/ballast/etc., not aftermarket housings)?

If I remember correctly $315 with shipping. $200 for the headlights and all the wiring etc, $100 for fogs and wiring, +$15 shipping

Then I personally decided to get the black Harley Davidson(HD) ford OEM headlight housings (from 05-07 trucks)

Oh see? You guys are gonna cause me to get a divorce.

OK - so explain to me - the HID conversion replaces only the wiring and bulbs? And so the new bulb - once wired - is routed into the actual headlight housing - which BTW, those HD are too awesome and now I have to go look that up. I need better headlights. Living in the country and driving at night is taking your life in your hands around here. Too many critters! Ask my vette.

If I replace the grill, I've gotta do the lights. Oh Lord!
