Thank you Gerry!! I've learned you reap a lot of great info from these forums. Already have the hubby considering some of the info from here for his works trucks.

I know - it's tough when the spouse doesn't do that whole car mod thing, etc. Just tell her its no different than when she's looking at that new pair of shoes or purse. Sometimes you just gotta buy what you want.

Laguna Seca Corkscrew Bottom Out - YouTube

Out of all the vids available Lisa, the one above was most apropos.

Great vid. Reminded me of Sping Mtn. Those guys were getting better at their apexes as they went along. Wouldn't that have been WWAAYY more fun in a stick tho? Oopsy on that guy tho. Looked like too fast into his curve and late heavy brake, oversteer into his apex? I need to watch that again.

Thanks guys for the garage envy. LOL!!! I waited a long time to have somewhere to put my cars and truck out of the weather. I'm just super proud of it.

Wow Lisa, that console cover did get messed up. At least getting a new one, while expensive though, wasn't a huge deal.

Didn't it? Made me ill. I'm very picky about my vehicles so it had to get fixed - post haste.

OK I must brag. I ran Laguna Seca in 1997 as part of the AMA Pro series. I ran a Honda CBR600F3 in the 600 SuperSport class That cork screw is WICKED FUN.
The advice from the old timers is, as you enter the apex of the left hander, aim for the center of the treetop at the exit. That will set you up for the apex of the right hander. (which you can't see because it's a two story drop) Oh the memories!

Wow, you raced AMA, eh? Very cool!

That pic I used musta brought back some memories!

Your advice for running The Corkscrew is exactly how they teach it at the track.

I think you may have just sold her on the third brake light swap. Just by mentioning it.

(last night) Pulled the third row seat out and scrubbed the vinyl flooring in detail. Got lots of grunge out. Also washed the insides of the windows. Removed lots of frosty window kid art. Especially from the rearmost windows. Much cleaner now.

Also finished wiring the aftermarket seat heater. Used it for the first time on the way to work today. I actually forgot to turn on the truck fan and heater I was so cozy. WOOT!

Inspection? HA! Inspections are for suckers! Man I love South Carolina more and more every day!

Just kidding, hate it for you, that sucks! I am just happy we dont have to deal with those here! We used to have them, but then they stopped. Dont know how long that will last though.
