Got my brand new positive and negative battery cables in today from Tousley. Got the new alternator sitting in the back. Now just waiting on the discoutinued alternator wire assembly to come in from a dealer in Reno and getting my new DieHard battery. Then the fun begins!!!

otherwise haven't touched the X in weeks. been extremely busy. Just got selected to Chief. Been using the X to haul stuff around for all the events.

also, huge country fan here. Too many people discount Country without giving it a fair shake. real shame IMO. There is more to Country than whining about losing your (insert object here) and drinking to oblivion. Tons of fun songs out there.

I installed my DC Power OEM 185 alternator, what a difference. My old one was toast so, it's not surprising this one works better, but I can tell it's charging better. When I left the house last night I could tell when the alternator turned on because the headlights got brighter.

Tomorrow it gets dropped off for a tranny rebuild. Not real fun that I need to do that at 85k(thank you to the previous owner), but it will be nice to have a stronger than stock tranny ready for years of abuse. It will also be nice to be done looking over my shoulder wondering when it was going to dump, been doing that for 2.5 years now.

I'm sure you won't like how I feel about the FX4 decals on

an Excursion if you don't like my opinion on country music.

So I will bite my tongue.

By the way, chief of what?

I gave country a fair shake too many times and shook it off the radio for good. Stickers and fancy gas hardware, what for ? (it was clean before) Chief of a tribe?
I guess it's easier to spot in a parking lot now.

I love my DC Power Alternator! BTW I have witnessed the amazing power of the Big three upgrade on even a stock alternator! Its worth a go....REALLY!

Who did/is doing your transmission rebuild?

Godspeed!

Don't you know ? Stickers make vehicles go faster. Just look at the ricer cars with big fart cans.

T SWIFT! i hate to admit i love her haha

totally not ex related! but i wanted to share my excitement.

late next week our '72 olds delta 88 convertible w/83k will be loaded on a truck in Williston,ND and heading for Alaska! the car has spent its whole life in north west ND. She was sold to my grandfather in the early 80s by his brother who was a used car salesman and has since passed away. we drove it when we would go back to visit..since my great grandmother passed away the friday before last. we dont have much reason to go back anymore i'm very excited to have the ol' boat up here..you better bet i'll be driving that thing as much as possible.

few pics from back in 2011 when i drove the wheels off it.
