I started on my front spring swap today. I managed to get the Ex rear tires chocked, up on jack stands, take the front tires off, and explode a socket on the blocker beam nuts before the Florida rain started and chased me in the house. I guess that is a sign the WD40 rust penetrant needed a little more time to soak everything. We will see what tomorrow brings.

My Stage I's are particularly quiet when running Ford's Cetane booster. It's very noticable when it needs/wants more PM-22-A.
I added some of that then topped off my tank yesterday, and after about 20 miles my engine is noticeably quieter and smoother. Nothing like when i have used power service or XDP's additive. Going to sound ridiculous but it also feels like it shifts better. Curious to see if i get any MPG increase, but not expecting any

I'm on the second helping of this, noticed less black smoke too! Plus Tor told me he'd kick me off FTE if I didn't use it.

How's that cetane booster do on a 7.3 with factory injectors at 402k?

Won't hurt a thing, but it'll probably clean them out and make them feel better

My pencil-sized pistons did a fine job through the mountains with 16,000 lbs in tow. How much have YOURS pulled?

And would you believe my little 3.5L V6 pulls even BETTER?

Size isn't everything Skip. It's how you use it.

The boss has had around 19,000 behind his 7.3 many times with no problems... Factory gearing too...

Went on a nice 4 hour trip to massachusetts and back last night. Found a guy selling a 05 grille for a good price on a diesel site so i can start my front end conversion parts pile. Dont know if its the weight of the diesel, or the wheelbase or what, but this truck is just so much nicer to drive than my old one. Much better road manners for sure.f Not sure what my mpg was like, looks like only 15 or so, was like 40 miles of highway but then 70 of 50mph back roads with a lot of big climbs. Truck ran great too, i can tell it runs a little better once i get it out on the highway for a while...only thing was when i got back near home and was hitting red lights, my really choppy idle came back, oh well

Curious what you paid for the grill. I found one on flebay for $85 and fee shipping. Seems like a good deal?
