Sorry Kenny, yes I meant ICP's.

Barry, he has a new gray CPS he put in. The RPM's were showing up when cranking anywhere from 150-180 RPM's.

Don't remember any specific codes that were important that didn't come back. Most were overhead console codes or things he has deleted like EBP etc. That and vehicle speed sensor stuff like that.

Ok, if you saw rpm's then the cps is probably good and not the problem. Even though I looked at it, I'm not sure how the two HPOP thing works. Do both have reservoirs? Do both have oil? Kenny ask earlier and I will ask again, could he be air locked somewhere, either in the fuel from the bowl to the heads, or oil from the pumps to the injectors? How can he eliminate that possibility?

I THINK I FOUND THE PROBELEMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My buddy came over tonight and got online and was reading some stuff about it, aomthing about hpop, and that got me thinking, i heard a whining noise and thought it was the turbo, but then again could be the gears from the stacked pumps..hmmm

pulled the hpop resivour and wah la, the top gear for the oil pumps id f'd teeth are smashed down and i ran my finger acrossed it and it cut me, its bad. so im guessing when the pumps were installed BY BTS when they built my engine a year ago the backlash wasnt set right.

Calling BTS first thing in the morning.

THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT HAS HELPED ME SO MUCH!!!! MUCH MUCH THANKS TO JASON AND BARRY AND JIM!

i will keep this post going and post what else i find, and what the actual cure is.

That will do it, glad you found it and hope you get it fixed soon. If you got that much gear wear, you might want to make sure you clean the oil lines before you pump metal through your injectors. And please do keep us informaned on what you find and when you get that beast running again. Think that might have been failing at RRE? Keeping you HP down?

Hopefully that's the problem. I'd be flushing every line and resevoir to clean out any metal shavings that may have gone thru the system.

i will flush the whole system. and yes i do think it hurt me majorly, even driving around town the truck just didnt "feel" right, but the butt dyno always fails. i started hearing that noise at BTS.

Yes Peter, that helped hint me there, i pulled the cover off and the nut and all was tight, but for ****s and giggle pulled the resivoir to look at the gear, i think there was no back lash, and the gears are wayyyy to tight.

Well at least you know and the hunt is over. With a little luck, that's it and BTS will get you fixed up. Good luck!

I wish it wasn't so Kenny, but at least the answer is out there. Hopefully you can get it straightened out with much collateral damage.
