Cleaning A/C plenum

I've got a little bit of a musty smell coming from my AC. I know I need to clean the drain and shoot some deodorizer in there, but I'm trying to find out the best way to do it. The drain hole is tough to get to (on the fire wall right behind the eng block) but I think I can clean it out if I pull the wheel. How do you get the deodorizer into the evap case?

The truck is a '97 F150 S/C 4x4 4.6L.

I would remove the blower resistor or the blower motor if you want to directly force it in there. Or you can warm the engine and get the heater good and hot, switch to recirc and shut the engine down so the compressor is not running or disable the compressor circuit and have the engine running and with the recirc door open fog the cleaner in through the recirculation vent. Once it is empty, shut it all down and let it sit a spell, then start it up and with the heater on full hot on fresh air let it dry everything out.. Then resume normal operations.
