I was looking over the things that are on my truck. I know I have a 110 amp alternator. I have no clue on the batteries CCA. I know most of the info given when looking at the different winches they say you should have a battery with at least 660 CCA. I have the tow package on my truck so I am not sure if the 110 amp alternator is higher than normal. I was also going to find the biggest CCA battery I can fit in the battery holder. Is there a battery that anyone would recommend for winches?

if you only winch on the rare occasion, get a traditional Diehard/Interstate brand. I personally think you would only be wasting the $$$ to buy an Optima. They are big on gimmick and money.

as for CCA, get the biggest you can find. You have a V-8 truck. It needs a monster battery. I have a personal rule of thumb that the battery must have at least 800 CCA. They aren't easy to find, but they are out there.

I think you'll like that MileMarker and bumper combo. Boondocks was a company out of Oklahoma. But I think they have gone out of business though.

Yes I do have the 5.4 liter 3V V8. Today I am going to look at the battery and see how many CCA it has. I am planning on trying to find the largest I can. I wonder if ford has a motorcraft battery that has a ton of CCA? I will be looking around to see. Yeah I am looking forward to getting this new V12 winch. I just really like the fact that it is waterproof. Thanks for you help.
