GOT MY NEW EXCURSION!!!!

i have to say it feels SOOO GOOD! to be back behind the wheel of a excursion!!!! after searching and searching this state i found the only decently priced one i think there is lol

2000 limited V10 4x4 118k miles grey leather interior(odd?).

rebuilt frontend, balljoints, hubs..ect newer BFG a/t tires. all maint records included.

has a few small issues. backup sensors dont work, the end of the gear shift is broke off. trim/weather stripping above both drivers doors is missing, small dent/scrape on the right rear. other then that just needs a real good detailing.

i'm happy with the price. $7,800 seems pretty fair as the truck books here for around $9,000 and the others w/much more miles are asking $10k plus

on with the pics! since i got it from a guy in wasilla, alaska which is where the new owner of my old '04 is she wanted to get together and take pics before i headed back to anchorage.

after a wash at home.

with my friends honda fit

and ofcourse since this truck came from wasilla, alaska so the sticker on the back is fitting!

That's a quick turnaround to a nice truck! But why is gray leather odd?

That was a fast turn around! You just couldn't stand the smaller truck, I guess.

lol yes a quick turnaround! i figured i have 2 other explorers why have another. i'll be getting a expedition this week also so it just made sense to have one of each insted of a bunch of the same.

the grey interior confused me because its a limited w/tan trim i expected a tan interior. but i like it.

plans for now are use my old stock '04 headlights, and my 55w HIDs put them in..some stock foglights w/HIDs and a remote start/alarm and snow tires for winter. also get a tune for my SCT3 for it. otherwise basicly stock for now as i'm streched alittle thin buying 2 trucks this month.

biggest thing i wanna do with it is fix the little issues it has.

Any pictures of that grey leather? I'm fairly certain that the only color option on Limited Excursions was medium parchment. Perhaps the previous owner installed trimming from an XLT Excursion or you have a special Excursion.

I'm curious to find out for sure now.

Since you have a reverse sensing system, your truck is a late build 2000 because that was available late in the MY. What is your build date anyways? It's on the sticker in the door jamb if you didn't already know.

?????????

I don't get it, you had an Ex which was nice and you put a lot of time and energy into it but you got rid of it because you needed the money and I guess it sucked too much gas but now you popped up with another one.

lol the gas wasnt the issue. the issue was i was laid off for a time and got scared.

but with all this truck exchanging i've made about $5,000 in profit. plus selling another truck i had. so i'm actualy doing better then when i started w/just my '04.

this way i can have my cake and eat it too so to speak, have a excursion be able to buy the expedition i've been wanting and still have cash in the bank. plus work is back to fulltime now so things are going much better. it was just a rough few months that actualy turned out for the best.

its a long story to explain but its worked out well, and i guess i could make a good used car salesman because i've made a pretty penny doing bascily nothing.
