$3.52 for regular? Ouch. I see fall is setting in around you already, is yellow the normal fall color around there? We have just a few trees starting to turn around us.

I have a gas station right across the street and from my couch I see regular is 2.66 right now here.

I like fall, nice colors, no bugs, cool weather, its all so nice. We can rarely get snow towards the end of Sept. as well but it almost never sticks. Late Oct. early Nov. is when we can get sticking snow.

Nice shots BTW! I love seeing other parts of the country! I hope I live to retirement so I can go see all these places in person.

haha dont think so we just took pics and left.

so for the fun part...the truck lost the alternator just outside of wasilla,ak but i turned everything off that i could and was able to make it home the last 45 miles thank god. shes in the garage now waiting for me to pull it. atleast it decided to do it when i was so close to home or i woulda been screwed out in the middle of nowhere!

we had an absolute blast! great short vacation..checking out parts of this wonderful state i live in.

my starting milage

my ending milage

one more test of my removed speedlimiter haha

the hotel sign lol

welcome to fairbanks sign

then i wanted to head to the start of the dalton highway/haul road. as seen on "ice road truckers" we didnt get to the real stat because thats about 100 miles out. but we took the elliot highway up alittle ways. and saw the weigh station.

it was still alittle foggy around 10am

then we headed the 60miles out to chena(sp) hotsprings for a amazing time in the hot water

then we headed back into fairbanks for food and gas then headed back for anchorage...got a few nice pics along the way.

then we stopped in denali(sp) AK for a snack and strech out.

B&C carquest, off international. list price was like $260. i got it for $197 with our company discount. then i get the $56 core charage back. it was alot less then i thought it was going to be. i swear the V10 and 5.4s have to be the easiest to replace alternator in!!

7.3s are even easier! You can do one in not even 10 minutes (if you have gloves like I do) right there in the parking lot if it comes down to it...
