yeah luckly the interior was just dirty...it looked like his 5 kids just exploded in it haha gummie bears and juice boxes and dirt and spills. but i think i hit it one more time real good and it should be like new.

best thing ever for leather and dirty plastic..ect magic erasers! takes so much ground in dirt out and leaves the leather like it was new w/a satin finish. then you can condition it with leather conditioner.

i took her to work today man i missed being behind the wheel of the beast!!

Magic Erasures? You mean the Mr. Clean Magic Erasure? I’ll have to try that…there are a few dirty spots in my leather that the “leather cleaner” didn’t take out...

yes!!!!!

hell even if it looks "clean" try it. keep some paper towls near by and do small sections at a time. then wipe up the water w/the paper towl. that area that you thought was clean...it wasnt! i found this out w/my new grey leather seats. i thought they looked pretty good. turns out there was so much nasty brown dirt in them to sink a battleship!

i have a question, i'm missing the like weather striping type stuff above both drivers doors. it goes bwteen both doors. where would i be able to find that? other then a junk yard which is hard to find an excursion at.

my other things i need to do is replace the end of the gearshift, as the end is broke off. also replace the older style '00 cup holders in the console with the 03-05s as they are deeper and dont spill.

other then that i have 2 door lock acuators to fix. the rear hatch and pass door. all others work great! so far anyhow lol i think these little things arent too bad for a 10 year old truck.

try an "Auto Recyclers" !!!!

(New name for wrecker yards )
if they don't have what you want locally, they all have locator services...

yeah, theres a few ex's in a few junk yards but they are both 100 miles north or south of me. just makes a reason for a road trip i guess haha

the other thing i need to do is shoot mike a email at 5star and get a tune written for the new truck

EDIT* other things i just thought of, i'm gonna do some searching on the subject but i would like to get the backup sensors working also. once its placed in reverse the "off" lights stays on w/the parking sensor button. i know this means a issue..hopfully just a bad sensor!

one other thing i wanted to add which i was VERY serprised about. this Ex drives SO MUCH better then my old '04. it doesnt wonder at all, which the old one did alot..even after x-codes and new balljoints. now this '00 has had the whole frontend rebuilt so that may have somthing to do with it..but you can take your hand off the wheel at any speed and it tracks 100% str8...i'm very happy about this!

allrighty been putting a few miles on her. def enjoying having a big ol truck again

anyhow the upkeep on black SUCKS! i finally got some time to wash her again because for the last 27 days its been raining i need to get some tar remover and then give her a good clay/wax.

but today i installed my 55W HIDs in the factory '04 headlights. trying to decide what i wanna do light wise. either stock 02-04 corners or LEDs or all black heads/corners idk yet.

but heres some cleaned up pics from today

with his new little brother

I hear ya on the cleaning.... That part sucks! In the past I have used the Mr Clean Car Wash System (Spot Free) on my previous dark colored vehicles and I was very pleased! Just some food for thought!

Good looking ride!

The easiest way I can think of finding out for certain is by getting an OASIS report. Ask for one of those.

If you pm your VIN number to partsguyed he can email you a build sheet for the truck. Very good info that he sends.

i'll have to do that as i'd like to know as much as i can about it.

mike at five star tuning sent me a tune, exactly like my '04s tune. it really opened this thing up! cant wait for exhaust to give it alittle growl

so i added some factory '03 foglights i scored on CL for $20! i then added 12,000K HIDs. i wired them to ignition hot so they act as DRLs(daytime running lights).

i tryed to get some pics w/alittle backround we went out whale watching.
