Fuel filter location
'79 F250 400 C6 4WD Dual driver's side tanks. Engine almost dies going up steep hills, but runs fine if I let off the gas a bit. Is there another inline fuel filter besides the one on the 2bbl carb? I'm assuming that's the problem.

Also, you might check the condition of ALL of the flexible fuel lines at the tanks, selector valve and fuel pump. These get hard and crack and can either fail internally blocking flow, or crack allowing the pump to suck air.
