cool thanks. I wounder why the guy that said he got a call from them saying they had them and were shipping him one never respounded when we asked who he talked too. Once I get the money for it set aside I wan't to organise a mass calling to ATS where we all call the same day and same time trying to get one might open their eyes to the fact that there is a market for them. if it keeps going this way with ATS I might have to save up and give banks a call.
i called them friday and the guy i talked to said call back at the end of the year they might have a few parts in but other than that he said they dont carry that line of products for our truck nemore... my reaction
Thats waht I was talking about right after the guy posted that oreo called them and they said they were still retooling and now they tell Coalroller the don't carry them I think he was yanking our legs.
i called him friday and said that they are sold out of the all the idi parts except an o-ring kit and said that he is sure that they would not carry the parts anymore and to try back at the end of the year to see if anything had change... so i asked if there was a waiting list just in case they some in and he said nope none at all
Oh I got a intercooler out of a 98.5-2002 dodge today looks like it should fit real nice just wish it didn't have 3 inch inlet and outlet wounder how this will efect lag
it wont be very noticeable george. since your running the intercooler you'll be able to turn your fuel up another half flat or so. wrap wrap wrap that exhaust. cooler air in= lower egt's= lower boost. thats why you turn the fuel up a little (since the air density is better) you'll burn better.
Banks discontinued the IDI turbo almost a year ago.
So anything you order has to be still on the shelf from before then.
We used to have a Banks person on FTE, and last time he posted he though they still had enough stuff to put a couple kits together.
But that was a while back when he said that.
My buddy just try'd to get a banks kit for his truck but it turned out his hookup couldn't get it at dealer price so I told him to get the hypermax since they actualy still suport their equipment for the IDI. so it looks like I'll be stuck with the small outlet flange untill I tear my truck apart and do some more pondering on an idea I have of how to modify the one thats there.
