1965 Bed Help

I have a 65 f-100 7ft and ofcoase the bed has floor rot at the front, i have seen some patch panels..... i see how up to 79 in interchangeable with most stuff. will the bed be the same way? can i just find a complete 7'ft floor?

I wasn't aware there were 7' beds that year, have you measured it?

Using a later model bed for floor replacement is an option, although a goodly amount of work.

Seem to recall members mentioning the pattern on later model beds are different and not sure if patches would be that noticible.

Bookmarked couple links of members bed repairs, food for thought.

i didnt measure yet. but it doesnt look like a 6 ft and i know its not an 8ft like my custom cab. i appreciate all the input guys, i have been bitten by working on this. i just cant stop lol

short bed = 2 stake pockets and 6 1/2' long
long bed = 3 stake pockets and 8' long

The bed floor issue is timeless...the floor from 67-72 is similar but not a direct copy of the 64-6 Styleside 2WD type bed. If you only want/need the first few inches I would go to Az or NM for patch panels.
