Had a problem with my trans with it holding in gear and shift flair. Where it would rev up between 3 and OD. Called Brian at BTS and he gave me a couple things to look at with scan tool. Checked everything he said and it seemed to be shifting as the trans was told to shift. So it was not a problem with the trans but something was affecting the shifts. Found a post on here about the EBP sensor causing this. I monitored the sensor with the scan tool and found that to was sending almost a full 5V to the computer telling it was 53 psi backpressure. I removed the sensor, cleaned it and tested it with it out of the tube, still the same reading. Unplugged it and it would go into default with 43 psi and 0v. Drove it with the sensor unplugged and it shifted as it should and no more shift flair. Found a new sensor on ebay $25 shipped. went to clean the tube before i install the new sensor and found tube had holes in it. Removed tube lastnight to see what I needed to make my own. Happen to find the correct size (5/16) and length just laying around the shop at home. Bent it to match the original, cut the ends off the old one, flaired the ends and installed. Started truck this morning and now the EBP valve worked and monitored the EBP sensor with the scan tool on the way to work this morning. Everything is working great now.
Glad I found that post about EBP sensor messing with the shifting.
