I just got my trans back from being rebuilt. They added the Transgo Tugger for me.
I filled it up, (it took 15 quarts) ran it down the street and it wont shift out of first until I let of the throttle? If I floor it, it will redline and still not shift until I let up?
I have to bring it back to the shop monday morning, but i'd like to know what could have went wrong to see if the shop is going to B.S. me.
The DP tuner chip is removed for a reflash.
I got some codes, first two have come and gone for a while before the rebuild.
P0470-ebp sensor circuit malfunction
P0475-epr control valve malfunction
P0603- kam memory loss
both batteries were disconnected for 4 days, and the chip was removed durring that time.
Could that have caused the code0603. I cleared them all and it still wont shift????
Frank, the trans holds almost 18 qts. Are you sure it is full?
I believe so...does that include the TC?
Trans shop told me there was a few quarts in the tc and it should take about 16 more quarts to fill her.
it took 15 and it was on the full hot line after my two test drives.
Do you think being a quart or two low it would keep it from shifting??
I told my trans guy it took 15 qts and he said it must be something else
I wonder why he didn't drain the TC when he rebuilt the trans? Oh well, if it showed full, you should be good on that part. I know it has to suck to get in on your truck and that happens. I do wish you luck.
Thanks Frank. We are doing fine, just waiting for that little storm to get here. I am glad I did go with the BTS, but your shop should get you running soon.
Hopefully Mark will chime in. Maybe the shop will pull and install for free if it has to come out again. Good luck and sorry to hear about your problems.
Maybe there TC comes with fluid, my 13 inch stallion from precision industries didn't must add 1.5 quarts before installing. Per instruction. Let us know what they find.
