77 high boy electrical problems..wierd

When the lights are turned on, the right turn signal light on the dash comes on! Help please...any ideas?

Check your bulbs.

A taillight bulb with a broken filament touching the turn signal filament can backfeed voltage.

Feedback is a tell tale ground issue. Check your bulbs, sockets, plugs and ground wires. I usually go straight to the sockets though...9 times out of 10, they're the culprit for me. Even if they're not, the sockets are only $7-10, no biggie.

If the above suggestions don't help, pull the instrument cluster and double check that the signal bulb is actually coming on. I've seen them where the housing gets brittle and crumble, and light will bleed over into places it shouldn't. I replaced mine and the plastic allowed the signal light to illuminate the brake and fasten belts lenses. A little Krylon solved that.

Like mentioned above it's usually always GROUND GROUND GROUND! most likely at the bulbs socket.

It was the bulb! Thank God! This kind of stuff drives me nuts. I hate electrical problems. This was to easy for me, it normally would be a break in the main wire harness under the truck inside the frame through the cab along the inside of the bed. Thank you for all your QUICK responses!
