I was wondering if there is anything wrong with using a soapy water solution to lubricate the boots for an easier time getting them on. similar to swiping the bead on a tire.
I wouldn' t advise it Wayne, the dried soap solution will probably make the boots pop off easier under boost. Some guys use el cheapo hair spray to make the boots stick to the pipes better.

Thats a brilliant idea Jim. I'll have to remember it.
If you talking about the "y" boots, here is a threads that gives good info .. and a neat tool to aid in installing them, see post #7.. I used it and it does help.. Harbor Freight sells a kit of different shape tools cheap.. Here is a link: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...ine-boots.html
Thanks! It was just a hair brained idea. I used a small flat screwdriver to get the boots off when I did the foil delete and I didn't have much trouble getting them back on. I just got some RR boots however and read here how tight they are to get on. I know I'll get them on, I guess, everyone else manages.
