Performed the upgrade yourself, GREAT! Was this your first time? Any special tools or advise you could share with us. I'm considering upgrading from 3.73 to 4.56 but not sure I have the skills and very interested how the process went for you.

It was my first time. It was easy, just took alot of time. Some of the tools required are a vernier caliper or micrometer to measure shims, a magnetic based dial indicatior to measure backlash with, a torque wrench, breaker bar, pry bars, made a tool to hold the yoke from spinning when loosening the yoke nut, feeler guages.
I ended up using the stock carrier shims and adding to the pinion to get the wear pattern correct.
This is a hot topic around the V10 area. I'm sure A LOT of folks would be greatful if you could share your step by step procedure with all of the gotcha moments. I think more owners would attempt the upgrade if we could remove some of the mystery in the process. Thanks!
