You will not see much more fit in with the drizzle it in method. My new truck fills all the way to the top. I drizzled it a couple of times at first. Never got more than a half gallpn more in it. I started out fueling with a quarter left. It took 16 gallons or so. I then started working down the miles to empty counter. When my counter shows 20 miles to empty, ot still takes less than 20 gallons.

With the 20 miles to empty what does your fuel gauge show.

Got to looking around on Ford's site, and fuel tank capacity is based on wheel base. 142" & 156" WB has 26 gal tank, 158" & 172" WB has 37.5 gal tank.

My question is if a 6.7 CC 6.5 bed 4x4 is 156 inches what would a 158 wheel base be?

This one has me stumped, I called my parts dept. and got a price for the 37.5 tank in the 390.00 range but it is for 158 wheel base only. I asked what set up would be a 158 and they did not know. They did say to measure and see if I had 158 instead of the 156 that the vin. says.

I read Fords specs and a 158 wb is SC LB but if you read the capacities a CC SB is 158 and a SC LB is 156. Now I am really confused.

I wrote a letter to Ford letting them know that I think I'm entitled to a 37.5 gallon fuel tank. We'll see how that turns out.

Heres how the ford fuel tanks work.

Reg cab 35 All
Supercab and Crewcab gassers. 35
Why the supercab comes in 3 wheelbases i have NO clue. But it does say that the crew cab only comes in 158inch and 172inch wheelbase.

So does that mean we can put a 35gallon gasser tank in our diesels?

I will run mine down as far as I feel safe tomorrow and see how much it takes to fill. I'm still thinking it's a 26 gal.

If you look at capacities 6.7 CC comes with a 37 gallon tank. I have a CC so I must have a 37 gallon tank. Wow who would have guessed
