I can tell you the mine runs better. My friend did this mod too and says that his truck runs better. Alot of the 1st gen Lightning guys have done this too. Its a cheap or free mod and is definitely better.

I'll look into it. I have no plans on upgrading the engine just trying to get the best performance with stock components. I was actually thinking about getting my engine rebuilt. We'll see. Hey we've been having alot of problems here in South TX with all the flood water.

I don't think I would bother with a rebuild, unless its not running good.

That sucks. So you have to boil your drinking water now?

I thank god it hasn't reached the area where I live. Some surrounding towns are flooded. And water keeps rising... Anyways well my engine has a slight knocking sound in it and i've lost some compression. I was thinking about the engine rebuild and a new oil pump. It deserves a new life.

OK. Header news!
first i started it with open headers, loved it, so loud i woke my grandma up from her nap and the house could fall down around her and she wouldnt wake up sooo its loud.
hooked the pipes up, still kinda loud but it was tame, i didnt take it for a drive cause i still got a few things to button up, but she makes some torque now
sittin in the drive it was twistin the body when i reved it, lots of torque, i would deffanatly recomend headers.

haha yeah ill look into buying some, But on the exhaust i know its rigged but thats what i had to work with.lol., And i found that exhaust in my yard barred with a bunch of scrap metal, It was a awsome fine, So i welded it in there, My dad has a ton of Ford parts, hes owned 3 F150s in a row,,, And the fat tip is just to smoothen out the sound so it has a nice clean DEEP sound, But ill look into that hanger, Ow and i set that timeing to 13.5 degrees and feels great untell i got to stop then it ideas weird and sometimes whats to die
