You can cause the transmissions are the same (SO if your taking a PSD from a autp and putting it into a manual truck.) It can be done, I know a guy who swapped the front clip in on the older IDI and the truck looked like a 95 or so, it was SWEAT!

the engine should be straight foward. i just want to know what part of the electrial needs to come out. most of it is self explanitory, but i dont want to pull to much(or not enough) from either truck.

You will need the whole wiring harness, so your going to have to strip allt he engine electronics and put the ones for the PSD in, there is no use of the IDI harness, now if this was a Honda Civic that you were converting from TBI to MPI Lol I could help you there I did that conversion and it only takes 2 days to do. Anyways, if I can find it I will get you a wiring diahgram if ya want it for the PSD.

I have not done a swap,(yet) but I have completely stripped several powerstroke trucks, and there might be a way around it, but I am pretty sure the easiest thing is to swap all the wiring, interior and exterior, because they are different. Like I said, there might be a way to rig it to work but the best way is to swap everything.

If you swap everything very little "rigging" should be neccesary, The 92 dually does'nt have power windows in the back so your interior lighting harness should work.

Off the top of my head these are the things I can think of that have to be swapped (I am sure I am missing a bunch!)

Underhood wiring harness, along with fuse box etc.
PCM
Gauge cluster wiring harness
data link harness?
Alot of little anoying things
