speedometer cable removal

speedometer cable removal
im trying to remove the speedo cable. i disconnected it, but cant figure out how to get it through the cab. the hole doesnt appear wide enough for the end to pass through.

The hole through the cab has a gromet that will pop out with the speedo cable. That gromet is probly rock hard with age and probly will shatter so expect to replace it.
