Speedometer cable removal?

I'm trying to get the gauge cluster out of the truck so I can go through it and clean / repaint some things. How does the speedometer cable come off?

There's a little plastic clip on the cable end that you have to depress. You have to reach behind the cluster and feel around for it.

^ The little clip has a tab on it, you have to push the end of the tab that's closest to the back of the gauge inward and it should come right out.
