I have been working on a 66 body swap to a 72 frame.
In getting the frame stripped, I found the ebrake cable to be extremely irritating to remove where it clips to the frame under the bed.
I finally got a regular hose clamp and tightened it around the fingers that retain the cable to the frame, but loose enough so that the cable would slide through the frame hole while pushing the clamp back off..it worked great!!
Kind of smiliar to a piston ring compressor tool..
Hope this helps all you other cable puller folks..!
