I had mine do something similar. At 45,000 miles I lost 4th gear, same thing you said, hit the first shifts fine then when it got ready to go into 4th it revved real high just like you put it in neutral. I was in town and I had the extended warranty so I took it to the Ford dealer. Turns out there was a broken snap ring somewhere in the tranny that took out 4th gear. They had to do a rebuild, but I just had to pay the 100 deductable. They said when they pulled the pan that the snap ring that broke off was in the bottom of the pan. Good luck

Just finished, replaced oil & filter. Plus the two soleniods. No change, still jumps to neuteral instead of O/D.
Looks like I take it to the shop.
