2001 EXpo XLT
Ok i'm new to the forums but not to the Ford ownership world. I recently purchased a 2001 Expo. XLT with 144,000 miles on it. The interior is in such good shape i'm still suprised !! This is the second Expo i've had, the other being a 1998 Eddie Bauer edition, and i love no car payment !!
Anyway i've noticed a little rough shifting going up hill with the air on. Does anyone know the mileage that the transmission filter/fluid should have been changed? Should i add a bottle of the Lucas additive when it's changed?

Just FYI, mine shifts a little differently with the AC on as well. It seems to want to hold the lower gear a little longer. I suspect this is due to the extra load the compressor places on the engine. I think it is entirely normal, though a good trans service is an excellent idea on a new to you truck.
