spring question
hey guys i have a 77 f150 super cab and the springs and the two rear hangers are bad in the truck i was wondering if i had an 80-96 f150 hanging around some where are the springs the same size, thanks any info would be great guys.also would the rear spring hangers that are rivvited to the frame be the same aswell

I just measured the springs on a 89 f-150 4x4 reg cab long box and a 75 f-150 4x4 reg cab long box. The 89 springs are 57 inches long and the center pin is 31.5 inches forward from the center of the rear spring eye. the 75 springs are 55 inches long and the center pin is 31 inches forward from the center of the rear spring eye. Both are 3 inch wide springs, so i would think the hangers would be interchangeable even if not exactly the same. The springs are not necessarily a bolt in interchange, but if you have to replace the hangers anyway it would not be that hard to relocate them to make them work.

On my last frame that I had under my truck(rust,abuse and hacked) I put 94 F150 rear springs and all the hangers and shackles on it.It was a "bolt" on deal.biggest problem was getting old rivits out. I also drilled out all the holes for 1/2" bolts.
