Rear spring hanger HELP!!!!

Hey guys, I am replacing the rear spring hangers on my 96 F250 and I did grind all the rivets flat like everyone said and they seem to be stuck! I cant get them out. I have tried hammering them out with hammer and punch, hitting the hanger from all angles with a BFH and a little heat. Not working. Anyone have some advice? Any help would be awesome! Thanks guys, Mike

What are you heating them with? If its just propane, you may need to move to something with a little more kick like MAP gas or acetylene.

After I ground off the rivet heads mine were stuck also, so I ground the tip of an air chisel, shoved it at the edge of the seam against the frame, and pulled the trigger.

It took a while to get started, but after a few minutes they popped off.

There's a lot of surface area between the frame and the brackets, so the rust has some strenght to it.

I was just using mapp gas with a hand torch. I tried chiseling the rivets out but not between the frame and hanger. I will try that next. I have to be carefull with heat and what not cause its right by the side tank and some fuel lines.
