Hello,
I just signed up here from another F150 forum and was hoping I could get a little help. I have a code P0113 that I have had cleared and keeps coming back. I have already replaced the MAF (which has the air charge sensor built into it), and also recently had to replace the fuse block. The code is stating that the air intake temp is minus 40 degrees. Any suggestions as to what else could cause this? Any help would be appreciated.
I did have what was supposed to increase MPG and horsepower. It was wired to the harness that goes to the MAF. I had a problem with my fuseblock the other day that caused me to have to replace it. The check engine light was never there until after the fuseblock was replaced. I was told it was a bad MAF. I replaced that and the pigtail harness to it after removing this part that I added to it. Now I am afraid that I have a problem within the PCM?
I feared that I may have infact damaged the PCM. Yes the Ebay item was similar. Odd thing is, I have had it installed for several weeks and no issues. I was installing a kill switch and in error grounded out a circuit and fried the fuse block! Fuse block is replaced and now a CEL? I do have a repair manual and am getting ready to drive to San Diego from Phx. I do not want to have the CEL on the whole time in case something else goes wrong and I will not know it. I am trying to find a PCM at a salvage yard and get flashed. But cannot find one. That of course, with hopes that is the problem.
Man, I hate to see that. Another one of those Ebay resistors claims another victim. That code is usually caused (without modifications mind you) by a bad harness/short. The max is 4.6 volts. Give you're wiring job from when you replaced the pigtail another once over and make sure you don't have a short. Also, unhook your battery and step on your brake to completely discharge the system. Best of luck to you...
