Angry OBD Codes P0113, P0102, P1151

Have the codes P0113, P0102, P1151. Truck was running fine, sat for a week, went to drive and ran sluggish like misfiring. Pulled the codes. P1151 could not be found on CODETRACK.

Help?

A code P1151 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
Electrical:

* Short to VPWR in the harness or HO2S
* Water in the harness connector
* Open/shorted HO2S circuit
* Corrosion or poor mating terminals and wiring
* Damaged HO2S
* Damaged PCM

Fuel System:

* Excessive fuel pressure
Leaking/contaminated fuel injectors
Leaking fuel pressure regulator
Low fuel pressure or running out of fuel
Vapor recovery system

Induction System:

* Air leaks after the MAF
* Vacuum Leaks

PCV system:

* Improperly seated engine oil dipstick

EGR System:

* Leaking gasket
* Stuck EGR valve
* Leaking diaphragm or EVR

Base Engine:

* Oil overfill
* Cam Timing
* Cylinder compression
* Exhaust leaks before or near the HO2S(s)

Possible Solutions

* See the above list of causes and go from there.

OBD Codes P0113, P0101, P1151

I found the same by Googling. I'm more concerned with what the combination of these codes implies. PCM Module?

cleared codes, drove again, new codes P1151 and P0301 (cyl #1 misfire detected). Does this help anyone with suggestions?

CYL #1 missfire would more likely be your plug coil if you have a "Coil on Plug" configuration which I believe all expeditions do. Usually when that code comes up (P0301) with that scenerio it is almost always your Coil. They are about $45-$75 depending on what brand you get. #1 CYL is the front right pasengers side and it is a pretty easy fix considering there isn't much in your way. About the other code (P1151), it could possibly be related to your P0301 code. I would probably put a new coil on CYL #1 and reset the codes and see what happens next. Hope this helps.

Before spending the money on a new COP, I suggest you do a resistance test using an ohmmeter on the primary and secondary on the COP. Specs are in the Haynes manual. Often, I have found the culprit to be the rubber insulator boot between the COP and the plug, which has deteriorated or cracked due to heat, and is grounding the secondary to the block. You can buy a replacement boot kit for about $4--a lot better than $40-50 for a COP.

If a resistance test is not conclusive and you see no apparent trouble with the boot, try swapping the offending COP (in your case, #1 cylinder) with another. Reset your OBD-II codes and drive the vehicle. See if you get another P030x code stored to be consistent with where you moved the offending COP. If the code follows the COP, then pretty sure it's failing.

p0102 p0113 Switched wire-connectors?

Hi, my first post and it may be BS. However, while working on my 98 Navigator 5.4, I had removed my air filter, disconnected two electrical connections and completely removed the entire cold air intake (for better access and visibility). I must admit I didn't pay too much attention when I put it back on: Is it possible that I connected the electrical connections incorrectly? and these "backwards" connections are causing the error codes?

It's too dang hot outside for me to check, but once it cools down I'll go out there and look (and flip the connections if I can, to see what happens).
