HELP- Pyro Install

Need some advice. i just finished drilling and tapping my hole for the pyro. i have been following the following guide (Gauge Install). Well i didn't bother to recheck the actual size of my pyro as to what he installed. The directions didn't include a size. the only place i found my size(after the fact) was on the page where i bought it at dieselmanor. well guess what. i drill and tapped the whole to 1/4" instaed of 1/8". What do i do now? plug and redrill? try and find an adapter? and would an adapter have to be special for high heat? HELP HELP HELP

Iwould think a stainless adapter would work fine.

Stainless or brass adapter. I would prefer brass myself. It's nice and soft and will conform better to the threads. Any good hardware store should have an assortment.

will brass hold up to the tempature or melt?? i looked it up and it shows the melting point at 1652 degrees. I know the exhaust shouldn't get over 1200 degrees. but is that just the gas that gets that hot or the manifold as well?

Brass would work but SS or equivalent would be my choice. I'm suprised, I got my gauges from Diesel Manor(before Clay was in business) and their directions that came with my kit were great.

The manifold will get hot, but not as hot as the gas, especially if you're just doing a few seconds worth of temps above 1200.

Those numbers are about normal. I get 18 stock and 28 in 80e.

I max my gauge out at 30 PSI's in 80E and it probably goes higher but your numbers sound good. If you want to get a little bit more boost, get yourself a boost fooler, it will stop your truck from defueling at higher RPM's and in turn yield you more boost.
